Even the clouds are Game of Thrones fans; this one is a map of Westeros.
A few months ago at work, I had to write a description of a Game of Thrones map. It’s something I’ve seen many times before, and for the first time it struck me that the map must be a Mercator projection so the north must be deformed and oversized in the way that Greenland and Baffin Island are deformed on Mercator projection maps.
These are the kind of thoughts that preoccupy my time.
