A Near Run Thing

This game of backgammon ended up being far closer than it had any right to be.

I was meticulous not to leave anything unprotected… until a series of bad dice rolls left one piece unprotected, white would have to roll a 1 to take it, and white did.

I won, but like Waterloo, it was a near run thing. I’m still losing 3 out of 5, but considering I only took up backgammon about six weeks ago that’s good progress!

Working on the CTWM config the past few weeks has led me to delve into the mysteries of the .Xresources file, and I’ve made a theme for xgammon, specifically the control window, to match with the Mint-Y-Dark-Teal theme I have in my LMDE Cinnamon install, which is why the menu buttons are blue, not green to match the window borders here.
