This came up in my Facebook memories today from 2017, a Google Doodle about Fred Rogers taking the Trolley for a ride through the Land of Make Believe. It’s cute and worth sharing.
Daniel Tiger made an appearance at a Harrisburg Senators game in 2019, and I made a point of getting in line to have my picture taken with him. As I said at the time, “I damn near cried.”
I like that I was wearing a Blue Lantern shirt, as the Blue Lanterns embody hope. I don’t like that I look heavy; I look at pictures of myself from 2019, and I can see that I was working hard on the health crisis that landed me in the ICU in late September.
Be like Mr. Rogers.
