Christmas Tree Lane

Every Christmas, Lancaster’s baseball team holds something they call “Christmas Tree Lane,” a display of decorated trees on the stadium concourse. There’s also a drive-through Christmas lights display on the field.

I went tonight, even though it was bitterly cold and hellishly windy — temperature of 26 degrees right now, with a wind chill of 16. I wanted to get my picture taken with Santa, but I think, due to the windy and cold conditions, Santa did the wiser thing and stayed at the north pole. I do not blame him. Tonight is fit for neither man nor beast.

This tree played music, though it was so windy I couldn’t tell if it was Danny Elfman’s music from the film
