On a Surprisingly Good Day

Today was, barring two transportation snags with the Baltimore Light Rail system that aren’t worth mentioning, a surprisingly good day.

  • I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of Michael Moorcock’s forthcoming Doctor Who novel, The Coming of the Terraphiles. 😯
  • I was retweeted by the Voyager 2 space probe. (Okay, okay, it’s by the JPL team, but still. That’s just cool.) 😎
  • I was given a token for a free milkshake at Z-Burger. 😉
  • I wrote an article — and it didn’t suck!
  • I got some serious reading on A Game of Thrones done on the trains today, and I’ve finally found the traction on the book that I could never, ever find. I was always approaching it as a Generic High-Fantasy Epic, when really it’s The Tudors. Now that I’ve had that breakthrough…
  • And, I survived an hour-and-a-half production meeting! 👿

And yes, I’m going to set aside A Game of Thrones to blitz my way through The Coming of the Terraphiles over the weekend.

All in all, a surprisingly good day. Even if there were those transportation snags. :-/
