On Charlie Brown Apparel

As I mentioned last week, I’ve recently started reading 3eanuts, a remix project (of a sort) of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts.

This morning, I noticed something, a detail that had somehow escaped my notice for thirty years.

Charlie Brown wears a striped shirt. But it’s not a tee-shirt.

No, Charlie Brown wears a polo shirt. Or possibly a rugby shirt. Either way, it has a collar.

See, I own a yellow striped tee-shirt. Truth to tell, I really want a red striped tee-shirt, which Charlie Brown wore about a third of the time in the Sunday comic strips.

But now that I’ve noticed that it’s a polo shirt, I want a Charlie Brown striped polo shirt. Or rugby shirt.

Preferably red. 🙂

Someone needs to license them and manufacture them…
