On Tengwar Fun

How would one write “Yankees Suck” in Tengwar, the Elvish alphabet from Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings? It’s a good question, and I’ve had an interesting discussion with Star Trek author Geoff Trowbridge on that very point.

My take on “Yankees Suck” —
Yankees suck

So, Red Sox fans out there. If you want to slam the Yankees in Elvish, feel free.

I, of course, have no feelings regarding the Yankees either way, unless they should, by some strange chance, meet the Cubs in the World Series, in which case the Yankees will, in fact, become the ultimate personification of evil incarnate.

For Cubs fans, here’s my new favorite —
Brewers suck

Yes, indeed. “Brewers suck.” 🙂
