On Baseball Talk

Tomorrow, in honor of the start of the new baseball season, we are allowed to wear Orioles gear at the office.

A footnote to the e-mail from HR on Friday noted that other teams’ gear was permissible.

I found my Niners jersey.

The Niners, as in Ben Sisko’s baseball team from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

I bought it at the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas back in 2001. I’ve only worn it a few times since, and probably not in the past five.

I cannot find the matching cap, however. The box I thought it was in actually had Yellow Submarine action figures and most of my Winnie-the-Pooh beanies. Including sets of Pooh and friends as 1) the Beatles and 2) the Musketeers.

That’s okay. I have options. Cubs. Aberdeen Ironbirds. Lynchburg Hillcats.

Orioles gear? No.

I’m ready for the season to start. I found a CD that has “Go Cubs Go” on it, so you know I’m ready. :cubs:
