On the Flying Spaghetti Monster

Sometimes I agree with my brother–the Internet is the greatest single contributing factor in the decline of humanity’s collective intelligence. Witness the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Satire. Parody. Mockery. Make of it what you wish.

The Flying Spaghetti Monster may have created the universe. Or not. It puts me in mind of the cosmic sneeze that might have created the universe in Hitchhiker’s Guide.

And yet, the letter on the beliefs of Pastafarianism makes for strangely compelling reading. Even if it’s a total joke.

  1. How dare you denegrate the one true belief! I read of the FSM, and the clouds cleared from my mind and a veil was lifted from my eyes! It all makes sense! The laughable “scientific method”, why ravioli appeared in most civilizations despite no contact between them, and the rise of global warming vis a vis the decline of Pirate populations!

I am shocked a man as learned as you Allyn does not know the TRUTH when he reads it!
