Triple threat

Brad Willis suggested a Doctor Who story challenge in alt.drwho.creative a few days ago–take the Doctor Who characters from seasons 18 to 21 and do a “what if” to them and see where the story takes you.

I don’t know how I got this idea. I don’t know what it amuses me so much. But here’s the brainwave I had.

As we all know, Nyssa hails from Traken.

What if Nyssa hailed from Carggg instead?

Some explanation. Carggg is a planet from DC Comics’ The Legion of Super-Heroes. Natives of Carggg have the ability to “split” themselves into three separate individuals. Triplicate Girl (or Triad in post-Zero Hour continuity) came from Carggg.

So, Nyssa of Carggg would be able to split into three, separate Nyssas.

Just think. If Nyssa could split into three, couldn’t the Master, who took over the body of Tremas, Nyssa’s father?

As I said, I don’t know why I’m so taken with the idea. I know exactly what I would do with it, too.
