On the Beast

No, I’m not talking Milwaukee’s Best, the official alcoholic beverage of the University of Richmond.

I’m talking Hank McCoy, the Beast of the X-Men.

Kelsey Grammer, of Cheers and Frasier, will portray the Beast in next summer’s X3.

At a guess, I would think that the Beast will be done in CG, much as the Hulk was done in Hulk, with Grammer provided the character’s voice. On the other hand, Grammer is a somewhat imposing person–he stands at 6-3, if memory serves–and he could wear latex appliances much as Jason Flemyng did for Mr. Hyde in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Kelsey Grammer. The right voice for the Beast. 🙂

  1. ….it’s Frasier people who are becoming super-heroes…not the other way around:-)
David Hyde-Pierce (NileS) is the voice of Abe Sapien in Hellboy.

And Roz did wear a Wonder Woman costume in an episode:shock:
