On Birthday Bizarreness

We have Dayton Ward to thank for this: the Bizarre American Holidays webpage.

I was born in June, which is, according to the website, Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month, American Rivers Month, Cancer In The Sun Month, Dairy Month, Turkey Lover’s Month, National Accordian Awareness Month, National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month, National Ice Tea Month, National Papaya Month, National Pest Control Month, National Rose Month, Fight The Filthy Fly Month, and Zoo and Aquarium Month.

Ice Tea Month is fine. But do Accordians need their own month? I ask you. Really?

As for my birthday, it’s Museum Comes to Life Day.

I think on my birthday I’ll prank call a few museums. “Did you know today is Museum Comes to Life Day? Are your exhibits running away? Is Ben Stiller anywhere?”
