On Melting

Today, it’s been a melty sort of day.

My brain melted. I wrote. I wrote a lot. A lot of what I wrote is even good. All told, it was a 12k day. But, that takes a lot out of the gray matter. It leaves it melty.

My body melted. For some reason, today Charm City wasn’t just hot, it was muggy. A leeching sort of muggy. A muggy that just wrings moisture out of you like you’d wring out of a dishtowel, twisting and contorting and beating every last bit of water out of the towel. It was that kind of muggy.

Melty.

It’s that kind of day.
