It was a week of publishing deadlines, and thirty hours after my last files went to the printer I’m still mentally exhausted.
I did go to Books a Million again today to see what other gems I could find in their CD sale. (CDs, new and used, are 90% off as they are getting out of that market.) I found the Camelot original Broadway cast album new for twenty cents, several Liz Phair albums, an Enya album I don’t think I have, three Diana Krall albums, a Barenaked Ladies album, and the Josie and the Pussycats soundtrack.
So I’m going to leave you with some tweets from the past two days that either I wrote or caught my attention.
People, I have had enough coffee this week to kill a mule.
It's very possible that if Dems don't win both the Georgia Senate run-offs and pass electoral reform, it will be impossible for them to *ever* win a majority in Congress after this, as control of courts and gerrymandering becomes a self-executing ratchet of minority rule. https://t.co/XNpI8qWEIL

There's not a single kind thing I can say about Mark Meadows, and all my thoughts are uncharitable, so I will say nothing at all, except that's he's soon to be on the job market if he recovers from COVID. https://t.co/HM6nvJHHKo
Given that Gritty is the incarnate chaos god personification of the city of Philadelphia, just as Roma was the incarnate god of the city of Rome in ancient times, then when is Neil Gaiman writing a sequel to American Gods about the civic gods of modern America's cities and towns?
As Gandalf said, "Do not fear to weep, for not all tears are evil." And this picture is making me cry. There's a lot of love in this picture. And I think about the people who aren't there, like his son Beau. https://t.co/95vehuEfQC
Have been thinking this for more than a year. Donald Trump always knew that Biden was the guy who was going to beat him. That's why he committed a brazen and risky international crime to try to sabotage Biden's campaign. You don't do that for nothing. He knew.
